Whirligig with Two Men Pumping

Sculptural assemblage with a pair of men animated by the wind-driven propeller. The well-built wood piece is topped by an arrow weathervane. The figures pumping are unusual for their oversized hats, which keep the heads dry in the rain--maybe. The propeller is large and graphic, and the piece has a tail to keep it pointed to the wind. Circa 1940 or earlier. Found in Texas.
